Grace Tibbits

I am thrilled to be teaching Language Arts and Math at Ascend. I’ve always had a deep love for learning, and my favorite thing in the world is to share that love with everyone I can. I had the wonderful opportunity of receiving a classical education as a child and teen, and studied the greatest works of philosophy, history, and literature, as well as classical geometry, mathematics, and Latin. I also studied Psychology and Political Science at Boise State University and graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree in May of 2023. In my free time I love to read, rock climb, go for long walks, and spend time with my family.

  • 6th-7th Grades & 8th Grade

In the 6th-7th grade class we’ll be focusing on writing narratives, memorizing and studying poems, cursive writing (extremely important for neuro pathways to be formed in the brain) and basic composition skills with correct punctuation and rich vocabulary. She will be using the Good and the Beautiful curriculum as her primary source for grammar skills, elements of literature and writing strategies.

In the 8th grade class she will be focusing on writing, memorizing, and having students read and study high quality pieces of literature. Her passion for mentoring students and helping them progress organically through the writing process is powerful! She will be using the Good and the Beautiful curriculum as her primary source of grammar skills, elements of literature and writing strategies.
