You’ll be contacted to set up a phone conversation.
During the phone conversation you can schedule an appointment to have your child shadow for a day at the school so that he/she can experience what a day of school at Ascend is like.
If all goes well during the phone conversation and your child likes his/her experience while shadowing for a day, then we can schedule an in-person interview. Mom, dad, and student will need to attend this interview. We will get to know each other and go over our school policies and get an idea about your student’s interests, past educational experiences, and etc… We will also go over our school’s policies and make sure that both parents as well as student understand and agree to the policies. We will also do a reading and writing assessment.
At the end of the application/interview season (usually by April) we will consider all of our new applicants and how many openings we have available for new students. You will then be notified.
